In the fall of 2014, Kaiulani traveled to Bangladesh and Cambodia to perform, teach, explore, and learn. She held workshops on researching, writing, and performing empowering students and artists to find their voices. She is working towards expanding the term globalization beyond the frame of economics to include a larger world view and to strive for global citizenry. She visited workplaces and villages in order to gain an understanding of the Bangladeshi people and their aspirations. Upon her return she is going to share her experience with audiences through Can’t Scare Me and tell the stories of the Bangladeshi people. It is important for Americans to understand child labor and sweat shops still exist what America endured over a century ago is still a problem in these countries.
